Cornbelt Amateur Town Team Baseball League Game Rules

2025

 

1)   Each team is responsible for furnishing two sanctioned umpires for each league game and playoff games. If only one umpire is available for league games, the game may be played, if both teams agree to play prior to the game start. Afterwards, no protests allowed regarding the playing of the game.

2)   Fields must be in good shape and continual improvements are encouraged. If the Field is unplayable, the home team should give the traveling team a three hour notice, or as much time as possible

​

3)   Ticket prices will be determined by the home team.

​

4)   Rained out games are to be made up as soon as possible.  If the two teams cannot settle on the date, the league president will decide the time and date.  

​

5)   Visiting team will have access to batting practice 1 hour prior to game time. Home team will take infield 20 minutes prior to game and visiting team 10 minutes prior to game time.

​

6)   A Courtesy Runner will be allowed for the catcher with two outs.  The runner shall be any player not in the lineup.  This entry does not constitute a game appearance.

7)   There will be a 15 Minute grace period to field a team. (9 players under contract to start the game) After this time period the game will be forfeited.

​

8)   Base coaches must be in uniform.

 

9) Bats must follow the Minnesota State Amateur rules.

 

10) Game times will be 1:30/5:00 for day games and 7:30 for night games, unless both teams agree on a change.   

 

11) Any league protests must be presented to a League Officer within 24 hrs. 

 

12) Line-up cards are not required but recommended as a courtesy. All players on the roster are edible to play in league games whether they are on the lineup card or not.

 

13) The league follows the Minnesota Baseball Association Player or Manager Ejection policy. If a player or manager is ejected, they must serve a 2 league game suspension. The manager must notify the MBA and league president of any ejections within 24 hours. Suspensions carry over to the next games, which would include any playoff games, or carry over to the following season.
